A section of Lakeshore Drive in Barrie was closed for several hours Tuesday following a rollover crash that sent an 80-year-old man to hospital.
Emergency crews were called shortly after 2 p.m. after a vehicle overturned on Lakeshore Drive. Barrie Fire and County of Simcoe Paramedics said one man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The collision prompted traffic restrictions at Lakeshore Drive and Tiffin Street, as well as at Lakeshore Drive and Victoria Street. Drivers were directed toward Bradford Street.
Lakeshore Drive reopened at approximately 6 p.m., although emergency crews remained in the area as police continued investigating the circumstances of the crash.
