An 86-year-old pedestrian from Thamesville has died following a collision with a vehicle on Longwoods Road late Wednesday night. The crash occurred around 11:43 p.m. between Deep Drop Road and Huff Side Road.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where the man was pronounced dead. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Thamesville, was uninjured.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Traffic Management Unit took over the investigation, leading to a temporary overnight closure of Longwoods Road, which has since reopened.
