A 97-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Scarborough on Saturday evening.
According to Toronto Police Service, the man was crossing Sheppard Avenue near Allanford Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by an eastbound Toyota Sienna.
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene following the collision.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or security footage from the area to come forward.
