A house fire in Mississauga on Saturday evening sent one senior to hospital and forced nearby residents from their homes.
Emergency crews responded around 8:15 p.m. to the area of Ruperts Gate Drive and Russell View Road, near Erin Mills Town Centre. Paramedics said an elderly woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and was later medically cleared.
The fire was extinguished before 10 p.m., while the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
