An explosion occurred Sunday evening in Toronto’s Forest Hill neighbourhood, near Eglinton Avenue West and Castlewood Road. Emergency crews were called shortly after 6 p.m. following reports of sparking and an explosion involving an electrical transformer.
No injuries were reported, but the incident caused localized power outages. Toronto Hydro responded to the scene, and Eglinton Avenue, which was temporarily closed, has since reopened.
