A 28-year-old man from Englehart faces multiple charges following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Coleman Township on Canada Day. Ontario Provincial Police and EMS responded to the incident around 6:30 p.m. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
After an investigation, the driver was charged with dangerous operation, alcohol-impaired driving, two counts of driving under suspension, and failure to wear a seatbelt. Additionally, the driver received a 90-day license suspension. The vehicle was towed and impounded, as required under provincial legislation for impaired driving offences, with the owner covering the costs.
The accused is set to appear in court in Haileybury on August 5.
