Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday morning on Highway 527 near Trowbridge Road in Shuniah Township. Police responded to reports of a vehicle in the ditch at around 7:30 a.m. on September 14.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing, with OPP collision reconstructionists assisting in the process. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward by contacting 1-888-210-1122 or through Crime Stoppers anonymously.
