Two people lost their lives in a violent crash in Hamilton on Friday evening.
Emergency crews were called to Highgate Drive and Upper Centennial Parkway around 6:30 p.m., where one of the vehicles caught fire after the collision. The two individuals inside that vehicle died at the scene.
The other car’s occupants managed to escape and were transported to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators from the Collision Reconstruction Unit are now working to determine what caused the accident. Police are urging anyone with details to come forward by calling 905-546-4753.
