A 69-year-old man from Hastings was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday evening in the Peterborough area. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on County Road 2 near Bensfort Road, where police say the rider was reportedly ejected from the motorcycle.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. County Road 2 was closed for several hours while emergency crews responded and investigators assessed the scene.
The OPP’s specialized collision investigation teams are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are asking anyone with relevant information or video footage to contact Peterborough County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
