Chatham-Kent police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle collision that claimed the lives of two drivers early Sunday morning.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight on Queen’s Line between Bloomfield Road and Dillon Road. Police say the vehicles were each occupied by a single driver — a 46-year-old man from Tilbury and a 57-year-old man from Chatham. Both were transported to hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The roadway remained closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene before reopening later in the day.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the events leading up to the crash to contact Chatham-Kent Police.
