A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night on Highway 11/17 in Thunder Bay.
Ontario Provincial Police and Thunder Bay Police responded to the collision near Red River Road shortly before 11 p.m. The female pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed, and the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision remain under investigation.
The affected section of Highway 11/17 reopened at approximately 6:30 a.m. Wednesday after the investigation concluded.
