A serious two-vehicle crash occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Indian Road and Talfourd Street, involving a motorcycle and a car. Emergency crews responded promptly, and police closed the area for several hours to conduct an investigation, which has since concluded and the road reopened.
The incident happened when a southbound car turned across the path of a northbound motorcycle, resulting in a collision. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown over the car’s hood, and both vehicles caught fire. The 37-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries that were not life-threatening, while the car’s occupants were unharmed.
As a result of the investigation, the 21-year-old car driver from Sarnia was issued a traffic citation for making an unsafe turn.
