Ottawa firefighters responded to a garage fire early Saturday morning in the Richmond area. At approximately 3:46 a.m., multiple 911 calls reported a house fire at a single-family home on Filly Terrace, near Meynell Road.
Upon arrival, crews found the garage fully engulfed in flames and quickly deployed additional resources. Firefighters launched a rapid attack on the fire, managing to contain it to the garage before it spread to the rest of the home or nearby structures. The fire was declared under control at 4:17 a.m.
Ottawa Paramedic Service attended the scene but reported no injuries. Ottawa Victim Services was also on site to assist displaced residents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
