A Severn Township home was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon, causing an estimated $300,000 in damage.

The blaze, reported by a bystander at a nearby gas station, broke out on Coldwater Road across from the LCBO. Footage shows flames inside the home as firefighters worked from both inside and outside.

Severn Township Fire Chief Ritch Lowell confirmed that both occupants were safely evacuated and no injuries occurred among residents or emergency personnel. A total of 25 firefighters responded, including five from Georgian Bay Township.

Fire services acknowledged the support of OPP, County of Simcoe Paramedic Services, Hydro One, Enbridge, and Township staff in managing the incident.
