Ottawa Fire Services tackled a Saturday morning blaze in a commercial high-rise on Elgin Street.
Crews were called shortly after 10 a.m. and declared a working fire at 10:35. Firefighters contained and extinguished the flames before they could spread, bringing the situation under control by 11:53.
Paramedics were on standby but did not need to treat anyone. Once air quality was confirmed safe, residents were allowed back into the building.
