A three-vehicle crash in Scarborough on Friday afternoon left one person seriously injured and prompted an ongoing Toronto police investigation.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Birchmount Road and McNicoll Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. Paramedics transported three people to hospital, including one individual with serious but stable injuries who was taken to a trauma centre. Two others were treated for minor injuries.
Police confirmed that all three drivers remained at the scene as investigators continue to determine the cause of the collision.
