A Brantford driver and a trucking company are facing multiple charges following a five-vehicle collision involving a transport truck on Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 10:40 a.m. at King George Road and Powerline Road.
Four passenger vehicles and a fully loaded transport truck were involved, with all vehicles sustaining significant damage. Two drivers suffered minor injuries, and one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A 28-year-old man and the trucking company now face several Highway Traffic Act charges, including careless driving, running a red light, using improper tires, failing to meet performance standards, and operating a commercial vehicle with a major defect.
