Emergency crews were called to two separate incidents Monday on the 6th Line near Tottenham Road.
The first involved a school bus that slid off the road into a ditch. No students were on board, and the driver was uninjured. Provincial police briefly closed the road to arrange a heavy tow, which has since been completed.
While the bus awaited removal, a second crash occurred nearby as weather conditions worsened. A minivan carrying one adult and three children lost control and struck a parked pickup truck. The truck’s driver had stopped to help the bus driver from the earlier incident.
All four people from the minivan and the pickup driver were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
