A head-on collision in Orleans on Friday night left four people injured, with one requiring extrication from a vehicle.

Ottawa Paramedic Service responded to the crash, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Jeanne-d’Arc Boulevard and Innes Road. A 47-year-old woman was extricated from one of the vehicles and transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Three other individuals were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries were deemed stable.

When Ottawa Fire Services arrived, both vehicles were found on their wheels with airbags deployed. Firefighters stabilized the trapped woman’s vehicle, safely extricating her by 8:45 p.m. They also managed the scene by applying absorbent to leaking fluids and disconnecting the vehicle batteries before clearing the area.
