A serious crash involving a horse and buggy left four people hospitalized with significant injuries. The collision occurred on Sunday, December 14, around 4:30 p.m. on Perth Road 116 near Perth Line 72, just outside Millbank.
Police say a white pickup truck struck the horse and buggy, causing all four passengers in the buggy to suffer serious injuries. One of the victims was airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries, while the others were transported to a nearby trauma center.
The driver of the truck was uninjured, and the horse fled the scene following the incident. Authorities confirmed that the horse did not appear to be injured, though its condition was not specified. The road was temporarily closed for the investigation but has since been reopened.
