Provincial police in Wellington County have laid charges against a 20-year-old Brampton man after a single-vehicle crash in Puslinch Township.
Officers responded to the collision on Wellington Road 34 around 3 p.m. on March 19. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Following an investigation, police charged the driver under the Cannabis Control Act and the Highway Traffic Act. The charges include careless driving, having cannabis readily accessible in a vehicle, and violating G1 licence conditions by driving without a qualified accompanying driver.
The accused is expected to appear in Guelph’s Provincial Offences Court at a later date.
