A 31-year-old man from Georgina has died following a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck on Highway 48 in Sutton Friday morning. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 48 and High Street, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Highway 48 was closed in both directions between Park Road and Ravenshoe Road for several hours as police investigated. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and no charges have been laid at this time.
