A 39-year-old woman from Goderich is facing criminal charges following two separate dog attacks involving the same animals.
The first incident occurred in 2024 on Gibbons Street, where two unleashed dogs attacked a pedestrian walking their own dogs. The person was injured, and one of their dogs was killed. The owner was initially charged under the Dog Owners’ Liability Act (DOLA).
A second attack, involving the same dogs in the same area, happened on July 29, 2025. In this case, a person using a mobility scooter and walking their dog was injured. Following the second incident, the dog owner has been charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm. The dogs remain in the owner’s custody pending the outcome of a DOLA court hearing.
