A suspended driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing into construction equipment on Evans Avenue East and then leaving the scene.
Bracebridge OPP were alerted around 6:50 p.m. Thursday by a witness. Officers soon located the suspected vehicle nearby and identified the driver as 69-year-old Herbert Peleikis of Gravenhurst.
He has been charged with several impaired driving-related offences, driving while suspended, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 2.
