A 31-year-old man from Guelph is facing numerous charges following a serious two-vehicle crash in Guelph-Eramosa Township on the evening of August 25.
Emergency crews responded to the collision on Fife Road around 6 p.m. after a vehicle ran a stop sign, causing the crash. Police say the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle that has since been recovered.
The incident left both drivers with minor injuries, while a passenger was hospitalized with more serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The man is facing a wide range of charges, including impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, failing to stop at the scene, refusal to comply with a demand, and multiple counts related to drug possession, stolen property, and driving while prohibited or under suspension. He also faces several breaches of previous legal restrictions.
He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
