A Guelph man is facing multiple charges after a high-speed crash involving four vehicles early Saturday. Police say an officer spotted a speeding vehicle around 2:15 a.m. on Elizabeth Street and soon came upon a collision involving the same car.

The 28-year-old driver was injured and taken to hospital, while his 39-year-old passenger was unharmed. Three unoccupied parked vehicles were hit, and no property damage beyond the vehicles was reported. The cost of the damage is not yet known.

The driver is charged with failing to comply with a release order, dangerous driving, impaired operation, driving with an invalid licence plate sticker, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
