Ontario Provincial Police are urging drivers to reduce their speed during heavy rain after multiple collisions occurred on Highway 417 due to hydroplaning.
Emergency crews responded to several crashes, particularly near Palladium Drive, where water had accumulated from the heavy rainfall. One incident involved a vehicle hitting the guardrail near Palladium before colliding with another car, causing two eastbound lanes of Highway 417 to close temporarily. Minor injuries were reported.
