A single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Sunday morning led to a temporary closure of Highway 11 northbound in Oro-Medonte. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. near Highway 400 and Penetanguishene Road.
Emergency crews and provincial police responded to the scene, where the motorcycle rider was seriously injured but is expected to recover. The crash also delayed cleanup from an unrelated collision involving a police cruiser in the same area.
Highway 11 northbound remained closed for several hours during the investigation and cleanup, reopening fully around 8 a.m.
