A deadly motorcycle accident led to the closure of Highway 560 in Gowganda, Ontario, for several hours on Saturday. The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. near Fourth Avenue, where a 74-year-old man from Dungannon, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash.

Emergency personnel, including paramedics and firefighters, responded to the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

Ontario Provincial Police shut down the highway shortly before 11:30 a.m., and the road remained closed until around 3:30 p.m., with no detours provided.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities are requesting that anyone with relevant information or video footage contact the OPP or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
