Police in Brantford are asking for the public’s help following a hit-and-run that happened early Sunday.

The Brantford Police Service says a parked vehicle was struck on Dalhousie Street near Park Avenue sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. The driver responsible left without remaining at the scene. Debris believed to be from the suspect vehicle — including a passenger-side mirror and a door handle — was found at the location.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a white sedan featuring a carbon-coloured roof, carbon trim on the door handles, a rear spoiler, and a tinted rear licence plate cover. It is thought to be similar in appearance to a Kia Forte. The driver is described as a Black man wearing camouflage pants and a black hoodie.

Anyone who was in the area during that time, especially those with dash camera footage, is encouraged to contact police.
