Police in Innisfil are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred Friday morning just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of Line 7 and Yonge Street.
Authorities say a silver Ram pickup truck was turning left onto Yonge Street when it was struck on the rear passenger side by a red GMC pickup truck. After the collision, both drivers pulled over to assess the damage. However, the driver of the red GMC failed to provide insurance details and drove off, heading eastbound on Line 7.
The suspect is described as a white male with a slim build, bald with brown facial hair, and wearing a dark grey shirt. He was driving a red GMC Sierra 1500 with a silver toolbox in the truck bed, and the vehicle had minor damage to the front end.
South Simcoe Police are asking anyone with information or video footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact Police Const. Jack Slade at 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311.
