The Anishinabek Police Service is investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a man injured on Dokis First Nation this past weekend. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Subdivision Road and Charlies Bay Road.

Police say a vehicle struck a male operator of a motor-assisted bicycle, but the driver did not remain at the scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading toward Main Street.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are searching for a white vehicle, possibly a Toyota, Honda, or Hyundai, driven by a man in his 20s with long hair. A female passenger is also believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The vehicle is expected to have visible damage on the passenger side.
