A fire at a home on in east Windsor has left eight cats dead and sent one woman to hospital due to smoke inhalation, according to the city’s fire department.
The blaze broke out around 12:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence on Tecumseh Road, just west of Banwell Road. Fire officials say the damage forced four people from the home.
Investigators believe the fire originated in the living room and was likely caused by a candle.
