Motorists are being warned to use caution as icy road conditions have led to multiple crashes.
At 8:18 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police said all westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed between Highway 2 in Woodstock and Trussler Road near Ayr due to several multi-vehicle collisions.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the affected stretch and adjust their speed to match current road conditions.
