OPP are investigating a serious crash that occurred shortly after midnight Saturday near Pembroke, resulting in three people being badly hurt. The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on White Water Road, close to Highway 17, when a vehicle left the roadway and slammed into a rock cut.
Emergency crews found seven occupants inside the car, all between 16 and 21 years old. Two of those with severe injuries were transported by air to a regional trauma centre, while the driver and another injured passenger were taken to hospital.
A 19-year-old Prembroke driver was later charged with multiple offenses, including impaired operation and driving while suspended. Police continue to investigate and are seeking information or video footage from the public.
