A man was seriously injured in an industrial accident in downtown Toronto on Wednesday. The incident occurred near the intersection of Dalhousie Street and Dundas Street East.

Toronto police responded to the scene at 12:12 p.m. after the man was struck by material being moved by a crane. The victim sustained a leg injury and was transported by paramedics to a local trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Dalhousie Street was temporarily closed during the investigation but has since reopened. The Ontario Ministry of Labour has been notified, and the incident remains under investigation.
