A serious two-vehicle collision in Norfolk County resulted in the death of an infant over the weekend. The crash occurred Sunday at the intersection of Turkey Point Road and Norfolk County Highway 24 East, involving a pickup truck and an SUV.
Six people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. However, a child who was delivered prematurely due to the crash later died in hospital.
The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team is investigating and is urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant information to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or to remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
