A 35-year-old man from Kitchener faces impaired driving charges after a crash on Tuesday night that sent two people to the hospital.
Emergency crews responded to the scene on Doon Village Road, north of Pioneer Drive, around 9:55 p.m. Police say the man, driving a Mazda, crossed the center line and collided with a Toyota driven by a 62-year-old Kitchener resident.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The Mazda driver was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving, operating with a blood alcohol level over 80, and dangerous driving.
