A 33-year-old man from Kitchener is facing multiple charges after an impaired driving crash in North Dumfries Township Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on New Dundee Road near Stauffer Woods Trail.
The driver sustained minor injuries, and investigators say alcohol and excessive speed were likely contributing factors. He now faces charges including impaired operation involving alcohol and drugs, impaired operation over the legal blood-alcohol limit, and dangerous driving.
The crash prompted road closures for approximately three hours, which have since been lifted. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Waterloo Regional Police.
