A 24-year-old woman from Kitchener has been charged in connection with a serious collision that left a pedestrian critically injured in Cambridge last month.
The incident occurred on September 24, around 8:15 p.m., near Grand Avenue and Queen’s Square, when a Chevrolet vehicle struck a 32-year-old man from Trenton. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an out-of-region hospital.
On October 4, Waterloo Regional Police announced charges against the woman for careless driving causing bodily harm and failing to remain at the scene. Authorities are seeking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact the Traffic Services Unit at 519-570-9777 ext. 8856.
