A house fire Thursday night in Windsor’s south Walkerville area has been classified as having an undetermined cause. The fire broke out around 9:40 p.m. on Moy Avenue near Vimy Avenue, close to the Stellantis assembly plant. Due to safety concerns, investigators were unable to enter the structure, leaving the exact cause unknown.
The fire caused approximately $600,000 in damage and displaced three residents, though no injuries were reported. Multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene. A nearby resident described the incident as intense and dramatic.
Update – A pet cat belonging to the family has died as a result of the fire.
