The London Fire Department is urging residents not to leave cooking unattended following a kitchen fire Tuesday night. Fire crews were called to the 200 block of Adelaide Street North after reports of smoke in the area.
Upon arrival, they discovered a fire in the second-floor kitchen and were able to quickly extinguish it. During the response, Adelaide Street North was temporarily closed between Horton Street and Little Simcoe.
The tenant involved in the incident is working with their landlord to arrange alternative accommodations, according to London Fire officials.
