A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in London early Monday morning.
Police and paramedics were dispatched to Hale Street shortly after 7 a.m. following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred between Hamilton Road and Ellsworth Crescent.
An adult man was transported to hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police have obtained surveillance footage and confirmed that the man was struck by a vehicle. The motorist involved stayed at the scene.
Hale Street was temporarily blocked while emergency crews dealt with the incident and officers examined the scene. The roadway has since been reopened.
