A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in a Brampton commercial parking lot on Saturday evening, according to Peel police.
Emergency crews responded at approximately 7:44 p.m. to the parking lot near Orenda Road East and Rutherford Road, where an SUV had struck a pedestrian before leaving the scene.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. Police believe the SUV sustained damage to its front end, but details about the vehicle and the driver remain unknown.
