A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Ottawa’s South Keys neighbourhood Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the Bank Street and Albion Road area shortly after 1:20 p.m., where a 74-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Ottawa Civic Hospital for treatment.
The motorist involved in the collision was assessed by paramedics and remained at the scene without requiring hospital care.
Police have assigned the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit to the case as officers work to determine what led to the crash.
