A 19-year-old Windsor man is facing multiple charges after allegedly striking a stop sign and leaving the scene of a crash in Chatham-Kent.
Police responded to the intersection of Selton Line and Victoria Road at approximately 9:36 a.m. Tuesday, where a vehicle had collided with a stop sign before fleeing. Officers later located the vehicle at a residence on Selton Line.
No injuries were reported. The accused has been charged with careless driving, failing to produce an insurance card and possession of a controlled substance. He was released with a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 6, 2026.
