A 28-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Sarnia early Friday morning.
Emergency crews, including police, firefighters and paramedics, were called to the area of Gutherie Drive and the Murphy Road overpass at approximately 12:25 a.m. after reports of a vehicle crashing into a support pillar.
Responders found the driver inside the vehicle without vital signs and immediately began CPR and other life-saving efforts. He was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have surveillance footage from the area to contact Const. Mike Ross of the Traffic Services Unit.
The area was reopened to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic shortly after 1 p.m.
