Essex County OPP are seeking witnesses after a two-vehicle collision in Leamington allegedly escalated into a weapons-related incident.

Police responded to the crash on Erie Street South at approximately 6:29 p.m. on July 8. Investigators allege that a 36-year-old Leamington man intentionally caused the collision before brandishing a knife. No injuries were reported.

The accused has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and dangerous operation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact investigators.
