A 39-year-old man from LaSalle has died following a head-on collision early Tuesday in Essex County.
OPP say the crash occurred around 12:06 a.m. on Highway 3 near Cottam and involved an SUV and a pickup truck. The SUV driver was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 24-year-old woman driving the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to hospital.
Kingsville OPP, with support from the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, continues to investigate. Highway 3 was temporarily closed between Cameron Side Road and Marsh Road but has since reopened. Police are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact the Kingsville OPP.
