A man from Tiny Township is facing multiple charges after a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening.
Ontario Provincial police say they were called shortly after 7 p.m. to Macavalley Road, where a pickup truck had veered off the road and struck a utility pole, ending up on its side and smoking. Witnesses in the area intervened and held the driver as he attempted to flee before officers arrived.
The 41-year-old was taken into custody and brought to a local OPP detachment for additional testing. He has been charged with dangerous driving, operating a vehicle without a licence, and breaching driving conditions.
Police also issued a seven-day licence suspension after he registered an alcohol level in the warn range. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
